The Stars Descend self-drive tour: Margaret River to Northcliffe

The Stars Descend is a vast trail of dance performances about climate action and hope, unfolding over five regional locations from 17 March – 1 April, 2023.

Performances in spectacular outdoor settings will celebrate the rich biodiversity and ongoing restoration along the Gondwana Link’s 1000km ecological pathway.

Chapter One of The Stars Descend performance commences in Wardandi country and asks the question “How do the stars gaze upon us?” Created by internationally experienced choreographers, Adelina Larsson and Janine Oxenham, the evening performance will unfold on a private property, close to the ocean.  Local sound designer, Simon Walsh captures the urgency of the stars’ descent into the Indian Ocean and their transformation in the sea stars of the Leeuwin Current.  Happening on Friday 17 March 2023, gates will open at 5.30pm and the performance commences at 6.45pm with a Welcome to Country from Undalup Association

Travel to the next performance in Northcliffe, making your way from the jarrah and marri forest and limestone dominated West Coast, to the tall karri forest of the wetter Southern Forests area.
