Overview
Mount Lindesay is the focal point of the Mount Lindesay National Park, with its granite summit towering 385 m above sea level, dominating the landscape. It is also renowned as a botanist’s delight with plants flowering in all seasons.
The 10 km return trail begins at a picnic area. It descends to the Denmark River, crossing by bridge, and then a short (500 m) steep section, after which it is an easy grade walk.
Along the way, the diverse flora is a delight, changing as one passes through different vegetation zones. Reaching the summit, you are rewarded with stunning views over the Walpole Wilderness Area across to the Walpole Inlet and to the Stirling Range. If it is wet, take care on the granite which can be slippery.
