Carly Le Cerf
Landscape painter
Carly Le Cerf is a landscape painter living in Kwoorabup / Denmark, Western Australia. Her work is deeply informed by time spent in place, moving slowly through landscapes to collect colour and texture. She takes source materials collected on site back into the studio, where she creates authentic responses to the landscape in encaustic and oil on board.
Carly draws and paints with a strong interest in conservation and a commitment to fully understanding the landscapes she portrays. She maintains a regular exhibition schedule with Michael Reid Gallery, Sydney, and most recently has contributed to ‘One Thousand Kilometres of Hope’, a sound and visual collaboration exploring the Gondwana Link with artist partner Jean-Michel Maujean.
